Variable wattage devices are, without a doubt, the future of vaping. Even first time vapers are skipping over the Ego style vape pens and mechanical mod phases, and heading straight for variable wattage kits.
Out of all the companies in the industry, there are two that always seem to be neck-and-neck in the race to produce the hottest new mods in the market. Hailing all the way from China, we have the makers of the IPV series, Pioneer4you, and then we have Sigelei. These major players in the vape game have brought us some of the most dependable mods out today. Let’s get down to it and see what these brands have to offer you!
It would take ages to start from the beginning, so let’s just pick this up with some relatively newer devices. Starting in the single 18650 battery class, we have the IPV D2, and we have the Sigelei 75 watt. These compact devices recieved quite the warm welcome within the vaping community. The ability to run an RDA or a tank system on such a small mod made these devices a must-have. Each device sports 75 watts of usable power. Temperature control comes standard on both mods with ranges up to 662 degrees Fahrenheit on the Sigelei and 580 Fahrenheit for the IPV. Both are very dependable devices for entry-level users or people looking for more power in a smaller package.
Moving up from the single 18650 class brings a lot more freedom regarding build styles and resistance range. These two companies have quite a bit to offer in the dual 18650 class. Between both manufacturers, they offer devices ranging from 100 Watts all the way up to 200 watts! A couple of the most popular new mods are the IPV 5 and the Sigelei Fuchai. These two devices are currently the most powerful mods available by both companies today. Being able to fire up to 200 watts on coil builds as low as .05 puts a whole heck of a lot of possibilities at your fingertips! You don’t have to be a professional vaper to enjoy these mods though. These full size mods also sport temperature control functions just like their smaller counterparts.
Now, this is not meant to urge you to choose sides. This is merely a piece of recognition for two companies that work tirelessly to bring us our next favorite mod!
The next big release would appear to be from Sigelei with their announcement of the Sigelei 213. This mod has some pretty exciting new function that is definitely new to the vape game. This mod will give you the ability to preheat your coil at a desired wattage for a programmable amount of time to cut “ramp up” time. For example, set it to fire at 100 Watts for a half second before automatically switching back to your normal wattage seamlessly.
Does this industry’s ingenuity know no bounds?! All there is to say is this year should be an exciting one for both of these companies. We all look forward to what is to come next.
