Belgium Legalizing E-Cigarettes

urlBelgium has had some pretty strict laws when it comes to vaping, but King Filip has signed a royal decree that will legalize electronic cigarettes in the country.

Expatica.com reports that e-cigarettes “inhabited a gray zone of Belgian legislation.” Belgium’s Health Council said that e-cigarettes “can form part of the government’s drive to discourage tobacco as e-cigarettes may contain nicotine, but no tar,” Expatica.com said.

So far no additional taxes will be levied, despite some of the governing bodies wanting this to happen. E-cigarettes must comply with the same warnings and advertising that tobacco cigarettes have, and online sales are banned. You must be 16 to purchase vaping products in Belgium.
